01 FENDER BUFFERS

To prevent collision damage to section doors and the facade of the building, we have developed drop-down and height-adjustable buffers. These ensure that damage is avoided and costs are saved.

The drop-down fender is installed at the same height as the ramp and is designed to protect while standard HGVs or trailer trucks (of any height) dock into the ramp. The fender moves with the truck when it is loaded or unloaded.

The height-adjustable buffer is designed to ensure that swap trailers that are higher than ramp level cannot collide with the section door or facade. The fender can be lowered into its starting position by simply pressing down with your foot so that the doors on the swap trailer can be opened once it has docked. After loading or unloading, press the foot pedal to raise the fender 250 mm ready for the next truck.
